Dr. Thomas Sonne was born in Louisville, KY and grew up in New Albany Indiana. He attended New Albany High School where he starred in football, tennis, swimming and was an Eagle Scout. He then attended Indiana University in Bloomington, graduating with honors. He returned to Louisville for medical school graduating in 1977. General surgery residency was in Michigan at Michigan State finishing with his 6 year residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis - the last 3 years spent in head and neck surgery. Dr. Sonne returned to his hometown of New Albany to practice ENT in 1982. He has been active on the staffs of Floyd, Clark and Harrison County Hospitals being elected to Chief of Surgery and Staff multiple times. He has published and done research. Dr. Sonne is married to the former Kim Taylor, also from New Albany. They have raised 4 children - TJ, a major in the U.S. Air Force; Chrissy , a stockbrocker in Denver; Jaclyn, an actress in Los Angeles and Andrew, an air traffic controller. Tom enjoys raising his dobermans, boating, skiing and traveling.
