If you are living with chronic sinusitis and considering sinus surgery, you may be interested in a clinical research study at Advanced ENT & Allergy. The RESTORE-2 RCT is evaluating an investigational paclitaxel-coated sinus balloon used as an adjunct to endoscopic sinus surgery in adults with chronic rhinosinusitis.
This clinical trial is being led by Steven Shotts, M.D., at Advanced ENT & Allergy.
Chronic rhinosinusitis, commonly called chronic sinusitis, is a condition that causes inflammation and swelling of the sinuses that lasts for 12 weeks or longer. Symptoms may include:
For some patients, medications and other treatments may not provide enough relief. In these cases, an ENT specialist may recommend endoscopic sinus surgery.
About the RESTORE-2 Sinus Clinical Trial
The investigational sinus balloon is designed to deliver paclitaxel to the sinus area during the surgical procedure. The study will help researchers evaluate whether this approach may provide a safe and effective treatment option for adults with chronic sinusitis.
Participating in a clinical trial can give eligible patients the opportunity to contribute to research evaluating potential new treatment options for chronic sinusitis.
By participating, you may:
This clinical trial is for adults with chronic rhinosinusitis who are candidates for endoscopic sinus surgery. Additional eligibility requirements apply.
Our study team will review your medical history and sinus condition to determine whether you may qualify for the RESTORE-2 clinical trial.
